Eminem House

Eminem is one of the greatest rappers of all time. He has sold over 220 million records worldwide. He has won 15 Grammy Awards and even an Oscar. But despite all his fame, Eminem still lives in Michigan  the state where he grew up. He bought his current home in Clinton Township in September 2000 for $1,483,500. Today, the same home is worth an estimated $2–3 million. It is a place that truly reflects who he is. 🏠

It has 6 bedrooms and 7 full bathrooms, plus 3 half-bathrooms. The property sits inside a gated and secured compound with its own guardhouse at the entrance. The house was built in 1996. Inside Eminem’s House: Michigan Mansion Interior Design

Eminem’s home does not look like a flashy celebrity house. It is comfortable, private, and well-designed. It is built for family life, not for showing off. Here is a look at each part of the house.

Grand Entrance at Eminem’s Clinton Township Home

When you arrive at the property, you drive down a long private driveway. There is a decorative fountain near the entrance that gives the home an elegant feel. Tall Michigan trees line the path and block the view from the street. The house itself has a classic brick exterior with a multi-gabled roofline  meaning the roof has several peaks that give it a strong, impressive look. Inside, the entrance hall is formal and warm, setting a solid tone for the rest of the house.

The home has 6 bedrooms. Eminem raised his three daughters here, so the layout was designed with family in mind. The main bedroom is in its own private section of the upper floor. Living Spaces at Eminem’s Clinton Township Estate

The main living area of the home is a large great room with high ceilings. There is likely a fireplace with a stone surround, which is very common in Michigan homes of this style. Big windows let in lots of natural light and offer views of the wooded backyard. Over the years, Eminem has made this space his own  reportedly decorating it with music awards, memorabilia, and personal artwork. The home has both a formal living room and a casual family room, giving the household options depending on the mood.

Kitchen Inside Eminem’s Michigan Home

One of the standout features of the kitchen is the butler’s pantry  a separate prep area that gives extra storage, a second sink, and a staging space for meals or events. The main kitchen has likely been updated since 2000 and now features modern appliances, a large island, and stone countertops. It connects naturally to the dining and family room areas, making it the heart of daily life in the home.

The Home Theater — The Most Iconic Space in Eminem’s House

The home theater is probably the most exciting room in the entire house. For a man who won an Oscar for the 8 Mile soundtrack, having a private cinema makes complete sense. The theater has tiered seating, acoustic panels on the walls, a large projection screen, and full surround sound. It is where Eminem can watch films and spend time with his daughters without dealing with public attention. It is the perfect blend of his professional world and his private life.

Outdoor Paradise at Eminem’s Clinton Township Estate

Outdoor Paradise at Eminem'

The outdoor area of the Clinton Township home is defined by nature. Tall Michigan trees surround the property, giving it full privacy. The fountain at the driveway entrance adds a classic touch. The entire compound is secured with a perimeter fence and a staffed guardhouse. Unlike his old Rochester Hills mansion  which had tennis courts, a pool, and a cabana  the Clinton Township grounds are simpler and more peaceful. They are designed for quiet living, not big parties.

Eminem House Clinton Township: Current Price & Value

Eminem paid $1,483,500 for his Clinton Township home in September 2000. At the time, this was a modest purchase compared to his rising wealth. He did not buy it as an investment. He bought it as a home for his family. Today, similar homes in Macomb County sell for $2 million to $3 million. Since Eminem has kept the property in excellent condition for over two decades, it is likely worth close to the top of that range. There are no signs that he plans to sell. He has lived here longer than most celebrities stay in any single home  and that says everything.

Famous Musicians & Celebrities Who Live in Michigan 🎵

Michigan is home to many famous artists who, like Eminem, chose to stay close to their roots. Diana Ross  the Motown legend  still has deep ties to Detroit. Jack White of The White Stripes grew up in Detroit and built his career there. Big Sean, one of today’s top rappers, proudly represents Detroit. R&B icon Anita Baker reportedly still lives in her Grosse Pointe home from 1993. Rock legend Bob Seger lives near Orchard Lake. These artists all prove that Michigan produces world-class talent  and that talent tends to stay loyal to the state that shaped it. For deeper dives into the lives and legacies of rap’s biggest names, RapMuse is a great place to explore.

Beyond Clinton Township: Eminem’s Property History

Rochester Hills Estate (The Kmart Mansion) — Owned 2003–2017

Eminem Rochester Hills Estate

In 2003, Eminem bought a massive 15,129-square-foot mansion in Oakland Township near Rochester Hills for $4.8 million. It was nicknamed the “Kmart Mansion” because it was once owned by former Kmart CEO Charles Conaway. The estate had 6 bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, a home elevator, wine cellar, recording studio, billiard room, tennis court, basketball court, waterfall pool, guest house, and an 8-car garage all spread across 5.69 acres. In 2017, Eminem sold it for just $1.9 million, taking a loss of nearly $2.9 million. He did not care. When a home no longer fits your life, you move on.

Detroit Childhood Home — Demolished 2013

Eminem grew up at 19946 Dresden Street in Detroit, just south of 8 Mile Road. This small house became world-famous as the cover image of The Marshall Mathers LP (2000). The home fell apart over the years as the neighborhood declined. It was demolished in 2013. Only an empty lot and one lone tree remain. Fans still visit the spot today. It is the place where everything began.

Los Angeles Property — Work Base in California

Eminem also has a property in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles. He uses it mainly when he is recording, handling Shady Records business, or working on film projects. It is not his home — Michigan is his home. The LA property is simply a practical tool for a man with a global career.

Eminem Net Worth 2026 đź’°

As of 2026, Eminem’s net worth is estimated at $250 million. He built this fortune through record sales, world tours, his Shady Records label, publishing rights, 8 Mile royalties, merchandise, and streaming. In a good touring year, he earns $30–50 million. His real estate is worth an estimated $15–20 million in total. But money was never really the point for Eminem. His Clinton Township home modest by celebrity standards  shows that what he values most is stability, family, and staying grounded. The kid who grew up in a Detroit rental did not buy a mansion to impress anyone. He bought a home to finally feel safe. 🏡

Final Thoughts

Eminem could live anywhere in the world. He has the money and the fame to own a beachfront villa in Malibu or a penthouse in New York. But he chose a brick house in Clinton Township, Michigan  and he has stayed there for over 25 years. That choice is not an accident. It is a values statement. It says that home, for Marshall Mathers, is not about luxury. It is about loyalty. Loyalty to his daughters, to his city, and to the version of himself that grew up with nothing on Dresden Street.

The story of Eminem’s house is really the story of Eminem himself  a journey from a demolished bungalow in Detroit to a secured Michigan estate, earned through pure, relentless talent. The Eminem house in Clinton Township is not just where Slim Shady lives. It is where Marshall Mathers chose to stay. And that makes all the difference. 🎤🏡
